He said the Opposition prefers staging protests outside the Assembly rather than engaging in meaningful discussion.MGNREGA Renamed, Workdays IncreasedThe Chief Minister announced that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MGNREGA has been renamed as Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin). The annual work limit has been increased from 100 to 125 days, and the scope of work has been expanded to generate more employment opportunities.He alleged that during the previous Congress tenure, irregularities were reported in MGNREGA implementation and workers were deprived of their wages in some cases. The government has since amended rules, increased wages, and strengthened monitoring mechanisms, he said.AI Era and Youth Congress ControversyCondemning the conduct of Indian Youth Congress workers at the India AI Summit held in New Delhi, the Chief Minister termed their behaviour “condemnable” and said it embarrassed the nation on a global platform.Highlighting future plans, he announced that two Artificial Intelligence hubs will be established in Gurugram and Panchkula, stating that the coming era belongs to AI-driven innovation.Healthcare Strengthened Under Ayushman SchemeHealth Minister Arti Singh Rao informed the House that under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, 2,694 treatment packages are available across Haryana. As of February 20, 2026, over 1.38 crore Ayushman cards are active in the state.Between November 2022 and February 2026, more than 14.28 lakh treatments were conducted under the scheme, with reimbursements exceeding Rs. 2,010 crore. Additionally, a cath lab will be set up at Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, Karnal, under the PPP model, and a Department of Cancer Sciences will be established at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Health Science University, Kutail.The Chief Minister also stated that 10 district hospitals have been upgraded with facilities including CT scans, MRI, digital X-rays, ultrasound, and private wards.Rural and Infrastructure Development PushDevelopment and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar announced the development of ‘Smart Gali’ projects in 111 villages with over 10,000 voters. Badli village has been included in the initiative with a budget allocation of Rs. 1.19 crore.Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa reiterated the government’s commitment to “Har Ghar Nal Se Jal,” stating that drinking water projects in Jhajjar and other regions are progressing steadily. He also assured strict quality control in sewerage and infrastructure works, with penalties imposed on defaulting contractors.In road and rail infrastructure, the Minister highlighted major developments including the proposed Rewari Bypass V-shaped junction project, estimated at Rs. 207 crore.Compensation for FarmersThe Chief Minister said the government is ensuring 100 percent compensation for crop losses due to natural disasters, directly transferred into farmers’ bank accounts. Rs. 6.46 crore has been released for farmers in the Meham Assembly constituency, benefiting around 9,000 farmers.He added that Rs. 116.16 crore has been approved for crop loss compensation due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging in 2025.Call to Curb Single-Use PlasticExpressing concern over rising use of single-use plastic, the Chief Minister urged collective efforts to reduce its usage, citing environmental and health risks.
