International artists and photographers working in any medium are eligible.Deadline: 11:59 p.m. PT on March 19, 2026. Open CallsArt for State Buildings (South Dakota)South Dakota Arts Council is seeking submissions for the Art for State Buildings program, for which selected artwork is purchased for display in publicly accessible areas in state government buildings in and near the State Capitol Building in Pierre.Deadline: March 1, 2026.ART 64 Live Painting Tournament (U.S.)ART 64 partners with the Village of Wauwatosa for a bracket-style painting tournament during which 64 artists paint live. Each round will be the theme/subject of each artist’s choice. Each artist is given a set period of time to paint a work, and spectators vote for their favorites. All participants are incentivized throughout the competition, and the grand prize is $20,000. In addition, all paintings will be for sale. There is a $20 application fee.Deadline: 11:59 p.m. CST on March 1, 2026.Audubon Photography Awards (United States, Canada, Chile, and Colombia)These prestigious photography awards showcase stunning photos and videos that celebrate the beauty and joy of birds and highlight how they connect people across geographies and ecosystems. Judges will award nine prizes to Chile and Colombia residents and eight prizes to U.S. and Canada residents. Programs consist of three-month summer sessions for U.K.-based emerging artists. The cost is £3,000 per student, including production materials during a residency in Italy, all travel to Manchester, all lectures and site visits, return flights to Italy, and accommodation and studios in Italy.Deadline: 12 p.m. BST on March 15, 2026.RISE by Henley Festival Emerging Artist Prize (U.K.)The RISE by Henley Festival Emerging Artist Prize was created to acknowledge emerging talent in the visual arts, especially those in the early stages of their professional careers or who have not yet established a reputation as an artist amongst curators, buyers, and critics. First prize is £1,000, and two runners-up will be awarded £500. The winners will also be given an exhibition space at RISE Gallery at Henley Festival 2026.Deadline: March 31, 2026.Wicker Park Fine Art Fair (Midwest)The second annual WPFAF will be held Saturday, September 12, in Chicago’s Wicker Park. The event will include a curated group of fine artists displaying and selling their work,  artwork installed in the gardens, performances of classical music, hands-on family art workshops, and tours of the gardens. There is a $20 application fee, and if selected, the booth fee is $150.Deadline: March 31, 2026.Glen Arbor Arts Center: American Tree Open Call (U.S.)American Tree examines the role trees played in the formation of the United States 250 years ago, and the role they will play moving forward into this nation’s next 250 years. Submissions of two-dimensional and three-dimensional work made between 2024 and 2026 are welcome. There is a $35 application fee for non-GAAC members; it’s $25 for members.Deadline: 2 p.m. EST on April 7, 2026. GrantsSpector Craft Prize for Emerging Artists (U.S.)The Spector Craft Prize for Emerging Artists annually honors five early-career artists with seven years or less of studio practice. Each recipient is recognized through a $10,000 financial award, mentorship opportunities, participation in the Spector Craft Conference (to be held at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in November 2026), and professional network development. Disciplines include ceramics, textiles, woodworking, glass, metalwork, basketry, and paper arts.Deadline: March 1, 2026.Artadia Awards (Chicago)The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure, and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose. A group of finalists facilitates studio visits with the jurors, and a second-round jury then designates three awardees to receive unrestricted funds of $15,000.Deadline: March 1, 2026.Inspiration Grants (Kansas City vicinity)These $3,500 project grants provided by ArtsKC are for individual artists or small groups of artists to support ambitious projects and/or work that makes a positive impact on the community. Visual, dance, music, theater, literature and poetry, fashion, film, and interdisciplinary art applications are welcome.Deadline: March 12, 2026.DAG Prize (U.S.)The DAG Foundation invites applications for its three prizes for literature, music, and visual art. The award amount is $20,000, presented to an artist or creative who demonstrates innovation in their field.Deadline: March 18, 2026.LIFT Early Career Support for Native Artists (U.S.)The  Native Arts and Cultures Foundation’s (NACF) LIFT program supports emerging Native artists through one-year awards to develop and realize new projects. LIFT provides a comprehensive suite of services, including $15,000, professional development, mentorship, project evaluation, documentation, and communications/marketing support. Applicants must be enrolled members or citizens of a U.S. federally recognized or state-recognized American Indian tribe, Alaska Native corporation, or of Native Hawaiian ancestry.Deadline: March 19, 2026.The Vermont Prize (Vermont)The Vermont Prize accepts submissions from artists working in any medium. This may include visiting museum collections, engaging with artists or weavers in their local environments, studying special exhibitions, or other research opportunities centered on the study of actual textiles. Applicants may request $500 to $1,000, depending on the scope of travel.Deadline: April 15, 2026.The Adolf and Esther Gottlieb Emergency Grant (International)This program provides one-time financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs resulted from an unforeseen catastrophic incident and who lack the resources to meet that situation. Awardees typically receive $5,000 and up to $15,000.Deadline: Rolling.Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant (International)The foundation welcomes applications from painters, sculptors, and artists working on paper, including printmakers. Grants are intended for one year and range up to $50,000. The artist’s circumstances determine the size of the grant, and professional exhibition history will be considered.Deadline: Rolling. Residencies, Fellowships, & MoreKala Art Institute Residencies (International)Kala, located in Berkeley, California, offers subsidized residencies through the Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Program and fully funded residencies through several fellowships and awards, including the Veterans Artist Residency and the Jen Cole Artist Residency Award. Kala offers 24-hour access to the printmaking workshop, digital lab, black-and-white darkroom, sculpture and textiles lab (textiles, wood shop, kiln, and slab roller), and more. There is a $25 application fee.Deadline: March 1, 2026.Prairie Ronde Summer Residencies (International)Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment project of the former Lee Paper Company mill, in the historic village of Vicksburg, Michigan. Artists from a range of disciplines are provided with a five- to six-week residency to engage with The Mill and its surrounding 80 acres. Three residency sessions are offered per year during the spring, summer, and fall, and the summer residency runs from June 1 to September 14. Artists receive a $2,000 stipend upon completion of the residency, a $500 travel grant, private housing, and a gallery show. There is a $25 application fee.Deadline: March 1, 2026.Great Smoky Mountains National Park Artist Residency(International)GSMNP’s artist residency program provides opportunities to develop creative work and inspire the public. During their stay, residents are given time to explore and experience the Smokies. They work independently and in collaboration with ranger staff to facilitate experiences that promote visitor understanding about the need to care for and preserve this national treasure. Artists in residence are also volunteers in the park; residencies last for four weeks and take place June through November.Deadline: March 1, 2026.NXTHVN Fellowship (International)Each year, NXTHVN welcomes up to seven artists and two curators to participate in its paid 10-month intensive Fellowship Program. Each fellow receives studio or office space, a stipend, and subsidized housing. Fellows relocate to New Haven to participate in NXTHVN’s mentorship-driven curriculum, which includes professional development sessions led by visiting artists, curators, scholars, and practitioners.Deadline: March 2, 2026.Minnesota Center for Book Arts McKnight Fellowships for Book Artists (Minnesota)Minnesota Center for Book Arts has partnered with the McKnight Foundation to offer two fellowships to beyond-emerging artists living and working in Minnesota who show sustained experience in the book arts. The recipient receives an unrestricted $25,000 award, $1,000 travel stipend to attend a conference, $1,000 educational stipend, two years of MCBA studio access, and more.Deadline: 11:59 p.m. CST on March 6, 2026.Textile Arts Center Artist-in-Residence Program (International)Textile Arts Center’s residency combines studio access with a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum and regular critical dialogue, providing residents an opportunity to learn and explore the textile medium, and an alternative to traditional higher education programs. There is a $35 application fee. Program tuition is $11,000 per resident; competitive scholarships are available.Deadline: 11:59 p.m. CST on March 6, 2026.Interlude Artist Residency (New York City)Interlude is a fully funded residency dedicated to serving artists and their families, giving parent-artists the chance to achieve artistic excellence and to connect with the rich history and culture of the Hudson Valley, the local community, and the land.Deadline: March 7, 2026.Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program (International)This program provides studio-based visual artists the opportunity to concentrate on their work in a supportive, collegial environment for an entire year. RAiR offers six artists a place to live and work for a year, with a monthly stipend and no strings attached. Residents can mount a solo exhibition of their work at the Roswell Museum and have an artwork purchased for the permanent collection of the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. There is $26.32 fee to apply.Deadline: 11:59 p.m. MDT on March 15, 2026.McKnight Visual Artist Fellowships (Minnesota)Since 1982, the McKnight Fellowships for Visual Artists has rewarded talented Minnesota visual artists whose work is of exceptional artistic merit and who are at a career stage beyond emerging. Each year, the program awards six $25,000 fellowships to visual artists. The focus is to connect fellows to local and national art professionals and support additional professional development activities. Deadline: 12 p.m. CST on March 20, 2026.WORTHLESSSTUDIOS’ Artist Residency Program (WARP) (New York City)WARP provides state-of-the-art fabrication resources, space, generous funding, and industry-leading project management support to artists as they create ambitious, large-scale sculpture. The residency runs five to seven weeks and includes a $5,000 artist stipend, a private studio, and a $45,000 fabrication budget.Deadline: 11:59 p.m. EST on March 31, 2026.Women@MIT Fellowship (International)This fellowship from MIT Libraries’ Department of Distinctive Collections (DDC) provides funding for artists, activists, musicians, writers, and scholars who are engaged in the expansion and expression of knowledge, especially as applied to informing the understanding of women in MIT’s history and the history of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
