Telangana Chief Minister A. Rervanth Reddy issued instructions to fix provisions to cancel permission given to private schools if fees above norms is collected, and the amount is recovered. At a review meeting on Education held in Hyderabad on Thursday (February 26, 2026), Mr. Reddy, who is also Education Minister, directed officials to enable an option in a website where people can submit their recommendations on regulating fees at private schools. Parents across the State have been decrying the fees collected by private schools and unregulated hike in it. They have been demanding the State government to step in and provide relief from the high fee structures. Nearly a month ago, Telangana Education Commission proposed a bill to regulate fees in private education sector, including schools and colleges. It has recommended the constitution of a exclusive commission for the purpose. On Monday, Telangana Education Policy was submitted to the Chief Minister.In March 2025, speaking in the Assembly, Health Minister C.
