Haji Wright scores to kickstart Coventry City’s comeback win

Wait 5 sec.

Haji Wright is continuing to pick up steam during the second half of the EFL Championship season. Wright scored his 14th league goal of the campaign as Coventry City rallied to defeat Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane on Wednesday. The American forward now has six goals in 2026 which has kept the Sky Blues leading the promotion chase in England’s second-tier. After a goal-less first half, Harrison Burrows propelled Chris Wilder’s squad in front 1-0 three minutes after halftime. However, Frank Lampard’s men would find a way back through Wright’s equalizer. Wright cut onto his right foot in the Sheffield United box before drilling a low shot into the back of the net.
