Pokémon's 30th anniversary showcase today for Pokémon Day ended with a poorly-kept secret: Generation 10 is coming, and it's called Pokémon Winds and Waves.Today's Pokémon Presents was one of the most hyped in a long time, and rightfully so, as today marks the 30th birthday of the original Pokémon Red and Green games on GameBoy in Japan. 30 years and Ash is still a little kid at heart.Screenshot by DestructoidScreenshot by DestructoidAfter several cool announcements like a music player, updates for existing games, and news on Pokémon Champions' release date, the focus switched to Winds and Waves. These upcoming titles will launch a new generation of Pokémon is coming for a new generation of gamers. The two games featuring a whole list of new Pokémon to catch is coming to the Switch 2, featuring some exciting upgrades with the new hardware, and a new group of starter Pokémon to grow with. And to top everything off, we got the new starters revealed: Browt, Pombon, Gecqua, and they are all adorable.Browt is a grass bird, Pombon is a fire pomeranian puppy, and Gecqua is a water gecko, and I already am having issues deciding which one I will choose because they look phenomenal. I guess it will depend on those final evolutions, like always.Either way, the bad news here is that Winds and Waves is not releasing until 2027, exclusively for the Switch 2. But the game looks great from the little bit of footage shown so far, teasing a tropical locale, open world, and some of the best graphics yet in a Pokémon game. The worst part about the reveal is that we have to wait until next year to play the game, but honestly, I don't mind if the final product is something bigger and better than what we've gotten out of previous releases.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV0cm5FXsCQWhich starter are you going to choose? My heart says water, but as a dog lover, that fire pomeranian is just too adorable. The post Pokémon’s next generation rides Waves through the Winds with 3 adorable new starters, confirming massive leaks appeared first on Destructoid.
