Vijay Thirumala, a business and strategy expert from Swiss Re, encouraged students to utilise university fests to build the ability to think strategically, adapt quickly and collaborate effectively, qualities that define successful leaders and entrepreneurs.He was addressing a crowd of over 6,000 students at the inaugural session of a four-day INFINITUS 2026, a national techno-cultural fest organised by SRM University-A.P.The event features cutting-edge technical competitions and brain-teasing challenges to vibrant cultural performances and high-energy showcases. A line of artistes, including Karthik, DJ Gautum, Jonita Gandhi and Ali Merchant, will perform on the campus as part of the live concerts.Vice-Chancellor Ch. Satish Kumar said a techno-cultural fest is a celebration of innovation and creativity and such experiences are essential for holistic development and shaping future leaders who can contribute meaningfully to society.”Director of Student Affairs Major General Gurdeep Singh Narang emphasised that INFINITUS, 2026 is a platform to lead, create, innovate, inspire and connect.Technical competitions, including hackathons, robotics, coding and VR challenges, drone simulators as well as specialised workshops and seminars, will be some of the highlights. Non-technical events feature photography competitions, fashion showcases and cubing competitions, bringing to the fore the participants’ talent in creativity, self-expression and strategic thinking skills. INFINITUS, 2026 will conclude with spectacular live concerts on February 28.Registrar R.
