I grew up in the 90s/2000s and watched a lot of football, at all levels across the pyramid. Mostly the Premier League, but local teams in the Championship and National League. Now I’m older with kids, I mostly watch my team, Man United and I’ll stick to highlights of the other Premier League games and I occasionally stream National League games. Recovering from surgery I watched the Wolves/Villa game and the first half of Sunderland/B’mouth, as well as dipping into some live games in the past few weeks. Just seems like the league is less interesting now? The style of football? Poor referring? VAR? Players diving every two minutes. They used to be so much more passion, excitement and explosiveness (I think?). Anyone else feel the same? Maybe I’m just getting older and grumpier!   submitted by   /u/richakn [link]   [comments]
