Hi everyone! The Shy Museumgoer website is a completely free, ad-free resource I built for anyone who is curious about art museums but feels a little intimated by them or simply doesn't have easy access to them. Why I started this: As a former TV writer and public speaker at the National Gallery of Art, I wanted to create a space that breaks down movements, artists, and techniques in a way that is engaging and welcoming. The Shy Museumgoer is filled with beautifully illustrated posts that show you the ideas, skills, love, sorrow, and power that great artists put into their works of art. Their paintings, collages, and art installations provide a window into the past and the experiences we all share. Since this is a 100% solo passion project with no ads or trackers, I'm just looking to get it into the hands of people who might find it useful. Check it out and let me know what you think.
