Invariably, if we go too deep, focus too much, get too comfortable and finally uncomfortable in our designated spot, we can go into overdrive mode. We can start to overtrade. This is a real problem for traders, professionals and hobbits alike. Let's consider the best ways to overcome this problem based on my experience. 1) Nature The first step to stop overtrading has to do with balancing our metabolism, getting back in touch with our embodiment and being present in the body, becoming aware of the breath and breath conscious. We need to become centered again. For this, we go out into nature. Go for a walk, barefoot with your feet touching the ground. This will immediately change your body chemistry, your metabolism and the electrical currents running through your body. Take a break and engage nature. This will produce amazing results. 2) Exercise The skin is the biggest organ in your whole body. It is a tactile organ but also works as a detoxification organ. Exercise until you break a sweat. As soon as you start sweating, your whole metabolism will change and thus the restoration of balance. As an additional benefit, certain chemicals are released in your brain that will support a balanced mood. Serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and the rest. Exercising in nature, barefoot with feet touching the ground or with the naked skin exposed to the sun, will yield even better results. 3) Breathe Breath is the essence of all life. You can go months or years without eating any solid food; you can go weeks without drinking a drop of water; but, you can only last a few minutes without the vital energies that come rushing through to your being once you breathe. Take some time out and breathe deeply. This will restore balance and resolve the problem. The most common and popular breathing exercise to balance the body and mind works like this: Block one nostril and exhale through the opposite one. Inhale through the same open nostril and then exhale through the other one. Left-right, left-right. Inhale and exhale. This will balance your body and mind. Once balanced, you will see your computer (device) with different eyes. You will develop a fresh approach to work and any past mistakes can be integrated and learned from. 4) Fast Another solution to break the pattern of overtrading, not being able to disengage, is related to fasting. Anything that breaks the pattern will do. Just stop eating for one or two days. This will completely change your metabolism which will allow for a change of mind, mindset and mentality. As soon as your mentality changes, you won't be able to do the same. 5) Conclusion Whenever you feel you've been overtrading, take a time to relax. Turn everything off, opportunities are endless. Go into nature and practice one of the solutions mentioned above. When you are done and over, you will be ready to trade again, and you will enjoy the process, and it is very likely that the decisions you take will lead to success.
