Samsung has introduced several refinements with the Galaxy S26 series, including a redesigned camera island, faster performance, and more advanced software features. Interestingly, the new flagship phones also appear to include an additional NFC antenna.It seems that Samsung has added a second NFC antenna to the top of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. We were able to make payments using the Galaxy S26 Ultra by tapping the top edge of the phone against a payment terminal. Other Galaxy S26 Ultra users have reported similar experiences on Reddit.All previous-generation Galaxy phones have featured NFC antennas on the back of the device. With the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung appears to have added an additional NFC antenna near the top, making tap-to-pay transactions more convenient and flexible.This change was hinted at a few months ago through One UI 8.5 firmware files, and it has now been confirmed in real-world use.It was also rumored that Galaxy S26 series devices would support wireless file sharing through Quick Share by tapping the top edges of two compatible phones together.
