I actually believe it because when I had instagram i swear multiple mutuals would repost requests like this on their stories like every day and sometimes even write a paragraph about how you should donate, so I believe that they themselves would actually donate to stuff like this. I live in the bay area and know a lot of white people who feel it is their responsibility to give POC money when they ask as “reparations”. 😭
