The Embassy of Palestine in Malta has shared details of a recent meeting between Ambassador Fadi Hanania and PN leader Alex Borg, highlighting ongoing dialogue between the two sides.In a post shared by Embassy Of Palestine Malta and Ambassador Fadi Hanania, the meeting focused on long-standing diplomatic ties and the Nationalist Party’s historic support for Palestinian rights.Ambassador Hanania thanked Borg for the PN’s position in favour of the Palestinian people, as well as Malta’s backing of United Nations resolutions supporting Palestinian rights. He also referenced the party’s efforts supporting the confirmation of Malta’s recognition of the Palestinian State, which was announced by the Prime Minister last September.During the discussion, Hanania also briefed Borg on the current situation in Palestine, stressing the need for a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza and an end to settler violence in the West Bank.He called for stronger international action to hold Israel accountable and end impunity, while referencing recent UN Security Council developments and the importance of keeping Gaza high on the global agenda.Borg, meanwhile, reaffirmed that the PN believes Malta should remain a voice for peace and dialogue, backing a two-state solution built on negotiations and respect for international law.He also pointed to the importance of stability in the Mediterranean and protecting the dignity and security of civilians on all sides.The meeting underscores Malta’s continued diplomatic engagement on the issue, as discussions around recognition and regional stability remain in focus.Photo credits to @embassy_of_palestine_malta and @fadi_hanania •
