The School Education Department hosted a two‑day national consultation on strengthening educational governance through Vidya Samiksha Kendras (VSK) and APAAR ID, at T-Hub in Hyderabad on Monday and Tuesday (February 23 and 24, 2026)Jointly organised by the Ministry of Education, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) through its Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), the consultation deliberated on enhancing digital infrastructure, interoperability of education platforms, and real‑time data use for policy decisions.Delegates from several States and Union Territories shared best practices in using VSK dashboards for tracking student attendance, foundational learning, and targeted academic support.Professor (Education) at CIET‑NCERT, Indu Kumar, emphasised the national vision for data‑driven governance using VSKs that are aligned with the 6A framework: Attendance, Assessment, Administration, Accreditation, Adaptive Learning, and Artificial Intelligence.Director (Digital Education), Department of School Education & Literacy, Harikumar Janakiraman; Director, NCERT, Dinesh Prasad Saklani; Director of School Education & State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, E.
